Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership provides a considered ethics offer at a time when the needs have never been greater.

Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership engages with the ideas of some of history’s greatest thinkers – not for the abstract purpose of philosophical discourse, but as a practical way of bringing that insight and wisdom into leaders’ professional and personal lives.

In 2019 Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership celebrates over a quarter of a century of cultivating wisdom in leadership for over 4,500 of Australia’s private, public and community sector leaders.  We help them develop the ethical scaffolding within which they operate and use their existing leadership skills more wisely by understanding the competing moral frameworks that can be brought to bear on decision making.

We’re not resting on the achievements of our first 25 years.  Having joined forces with the Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Foundation in April, we are delighted to announce that from September 2019 we will be taking our organisation into the future in partnership with Monash University.

The partnership will strengthen our impact on creating an ethical society and invigorate our offering.

Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership will continue to be based in Cranlana house. The course format and delivery will remain unchanged, and the alumni will continue to be offered exclusive events and opportunities.

“It is an exciting initiative which we are confident will confirm the role, relevance and quest by the partners to ensure the development of bold, informed leadership in a diverse range of relevant future programs. Cranlana Centre for Ethical leadership provides a resilient partnership between Monash University, The Myer Foundation and the Vincent Fairfax Foundation for Ethical Leadership as a non-partisan, not for profit enterprise that will seek to develop and strengthen the capacity of future leaders to offer wise and courageous judgement and direction responding to the many challenges which confront Australian society,” says Kim Williams, Chair of Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership.

As Angus White, Chair of Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Foundation, says, “The practice of ethical leadership is gaining as a critical ballast for senior leaders facing heightened community expectation alongside an acutely charged and complex environment.”  We are pleased to continue contributing to this practice in partnership with Monash University.
