1. General

Participants in Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership (CCEL) programs do not receive formal Monash University award or accreditation upon completion.

2. Fees and Payment

Full payment is required to secure a place, attend, or access learning materials for all CCEL professional development programs. In particular, full payment must be received before pre-readings are sent out, approximately 5-6 weeks ahead of program commencement. If payment is not received within 35 calendar days of program commencement, you may not receive the required readings and/or your place might be offered to someone else.

Payment by credit card, PayPal or invoice is acceptable. For internal Monash University enrolments, we accept cost centre and fund transfers.

3. Program Cancellation or Postponement

If we need to cancel a Program for any reason, we may do so at any time before the Program is scheduled to begin. We do not expect this to happen except in exceptional circumstances. Should this occur, we’ll refund your money in full or offer you a choice of alternative date. We are unable to compensate you for any other expenses you’ve incurred in connection with the Cranlana Program.

Where CCEL has changed the mode of delivery (i.e. from face-to-face to online or vice versa) and there is a price difference, CCEL will refund the difference where the new price is lower and will absorb the difference if the new price is higher. Once participants have confirmed the new dates proposed by CCEL, the Participant Cancellations policy will apply to further changes (see below).

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are obliged to follow government regulations relating to COVID-19. We will communicate the impact of prevailing regulations as necessary. For any cancellations or transfers related to COVID-19 government restrictions, all transfer fees will be waived. Our preference is for participants to transfer to a later program within the following 12 months, however, a full refund will be provided if the participant is unable to commit to the new dates.

If you have contracted Coronavirus and are unable to attend a program, we will transfer you to an equivalent program within 12 months.

4. Participant Cancellations

If you need to cancel your registration, please send a written request via email to admin@cranlana.org.au, upon receipt of which, the following options become available to you.

OPTION ONE: Send a written request*, which is received by CCEL at least 35 calendar days before the start date of your program. This will entitle you to a full (100%) refund and withdrawal from your program.

OPTION TWO: Send a written request*, which is received by CCEL more than 14 calendar days, but less than 35 calendar days before the start of your program. You may choose from two options:

  • A partial refund (50%) and program withdrawal.
  • Defer to an alternative date within 12 months, incurring an admin fee of $350.
(See: Program fee transfer/credit below for more details.**)

OPTION THREE: If you send a written request*, which is received by CCEL less than 14 calendar days before the start of your program, there is no refund, deferral or fee credit retention available.

*Written requests must be sent via email to admin@cranlana.org.au, after which, you will receive an email with a receipt of confirmation.
**Program fee transfer/credit –
TRANSFER: You are entitled to one transfer only, within a one-year period. Should you withdraw your application within the one-year transfer period, you are only eligible for a 50% refund of your program fee. Please note: Approval to transfer is not automatic. Your request will be reviewed, whereby CCEL will look for valid reasons and consider any receipt of evidence (such as a medical certificate).
CREDIT: You can use any credit paid toward your program fee toward a similar CCEL program
within a one-year period, following the date of your written request. Please note: an administration fee of $350 will apply at the time you transfer your registration. You will also be required to pay any increase in fees between the two programs.

5. Participant Holds for Organisations

Organisations holding places for nominees must provide individual names at least 8 weeks before the start date of the program. Otherwise, the Participant Cancellations and Participant Substitution policies will apply (as per below and above).

6. Participant Substitutions

Depending on the program requirements, substitutes may attend a program in place of another person but notice must be given in writing to CCEL via admin@cranlana.org.au no later than 14 calendar days from program commencement. The proposed substitute will be subject to the same selection or registration process as the original candidate. Substitutions made between 14-35 calendar days prior to the program will incur an administration fee of $350 per person.

The Cranlana Method

We don’t teach leadership skills. Instead, we help leaders apply the skills they already have more wisely – by building clarity of purpose and ethical courage. Drawing on a rich history of philosophical wisdom, they encourage fresh and considered approaches to challenges – offering insights that, for many participants, will fundamentally transform their concept of leadership. Our courses are dialogue-based and immersive, bringing small groups of high-level leaders together for discussions that are wide-ranging and expertly guided. They are rigorous, in-depth and practical, providing high-level learning experiences and understanding to strengthen your capabilities as an effective and ethical leader.
