Ready yourself with the knowledge and essential skills to lead in a divided workplace.

The increased polarisation occurring across society is showing up in our workplaces – making it harder for people to engage constructively across differing viewpoints. The ability to manage values conflicts is no longer a leadership “nice to have” – it’s an essential skill in any leader’s toolkit.

We need to be able to quickly identify conflicts when they arise, foster inclusive environments where different perspectives can coexist and support our people to find new ways to solve problems. Over two weeks, you’ll learn these skills through:

Storytelling sessions and thought-provoking discussions:
During the course, you’ll get an opportunity to learn from your fellow participants and surface your experiences, providing essential points of difference and diversity.

Self-paced modules based on real-life challenges:
In your own time, work through modules that explore values conflicts and provide you with practical strategies to lower the temperature.

Reflection points and knowledge check-ins:
We provide prompts for you to reflect on what you’ve learnt in the masterclass and how it fits within your context as a leader.

What you’ll learn

At Cranlana, we don’t do management training. Instead, we support leaders to hone and apply skills they already have more wisely – by building clarity of purpose and ethical courage. Throughout the masterclass, you will:

  • Address divided values at work, making sure that you remain a role model for ethical leadership, even in challenging circumstances.
  • Deepen your understanding of the causes of values conflicts, ethical disagreement, exclusion and polarisation in the workforce.
  • Reflect on how underlying drivers help us to better understand and connect with people whose ethical positions might clash with our own.
  • Understand key trends and broader social issues that exacerbate the likelihood and impact of values conflicts
  • Analyse where your organisation is most vulnerable to the challenges uncovered and pinpoint how to take action accordingly.

“Genuine inclusion means that people with very different views on divisive topics are able to hear and see each other, and work together for the greater good of organisations and the broader community.”
