2021 Cranlana Programs – In Person AND Online!
How are you and your team starting 2021 – together, remotely, refining or reimagining your business? Wherever you and your team are – Cranlana can help you. After an extraordinary year, leaders in every sector and industry are rebuilding for an uncertain future. You know ethical leadership, for you and your teams, is key to the success of that future. How do you make the right decision when you face competing interests, conflicting advice and tight deadlines? What if doing the right thing is bad for the bottom line in the short-term or damages your career prospects?
New online programs
During the pandemic we offered some of our programs online. These virtual iterations retain the unique essence of the Cranlana approach – immersive, moderated conversations held under the Chatham House Rule which bring millennia of philosophical wisdom to bear on contemporary leadership issues. And they deliver the same outcomes.
Inspired by their success, and the opportunity they offer to welcome even more people in more places to the conversation, this year we’re offering you the choice of online or in-person versions of two of our programs – Executive Ethics and Public Sector Leaders Colloquia.
They’ll still be small groups of up to 20, with two expert moderators. More people participating in a program, means a greater diversity of opinion, experience and influence around the table (or screen), making for more robust and challenging discussions. So regardless of where you are geographically, whether you’re in a boardroom or a spare bedroom, whether you’ve got kids, parents or pets who can’t be left, you can still engage in premium professional development. No matter what uncertainties the next year or so brings, these programs will be delivered unhindered.
Of course, we are still delivering these programs in-person later in the year in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra for those who want the face-to-face experience.
Private Sector Leaders
Executive Ethics is a newer addition to the suite of offerings, and is a masterclass in practical ethical leadership, designed to help you build better organisations.
Take the opportunity the Executive Ethics program offers to build your ethical leadership capacity, and meet the challenges and opportunities of the new decade from a position of strength.
Public Sector Leaders
We understand the complex environment you operate within and the increasing public scrutiny of your decisions. For nearly 30 years we have been working with dedicated public sector leaders equipping them for better, more considered ethical decision-making.
Our moderators draw on their own extensive public sector careers to relate philosophical concepts directly to experiences and challenges you encounter every day.
Our flagship program, the Colloquium, has three versions designed specifically for the Australian Public Service at all levels – state, federal and local. They allow emerging and senior government professionals from around the country to come together to explore ethical leadership practices within the public sector ecosystem. The Colloquium helps leaders rigorously examine the competing ethical lenses that are brought to decision making.
You will be stretched, professionally and personally. You will be equipped to use your existing leadership skills more wisely. By the end of the Colloquium the fundamental assumptions you arrive with will have been profoundly interrogated and challenged. You will leave with the courage and impetus to exercise your moral agency and critical thinking skills more effectively.
In-person and online – what’s the difference?
The face-to-face Public Sector Leaders Colloquia run over six days and are non-residential. The online iteration is 24 x 60 minute online sessions spread over 2 weeks.
The Executive Ethics face-to-face programs run over two days and the online program is 8 x 90 minute online sessions over 4 days, with an additional 90 minute online follow up session to consolidate and reflect on the learnings post-completion of the program.
Ongoing professional development
Participants in all programs begin a lifelong connection with Cranlana through the alumni program. Regular alumni events support ongoing professional development and provide a valuable opportunity to meet their peers – other extraordinary Australian leaders who bring a strong ethical focus to their work.
Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership’s programs also include the year-long Vincent Fairfax Fellowship and tailored corporate programs. Find the right program for you online, or talk to Caroline Gibson, our Client Relations Director, for advice on which program is the best fit.
Registrations for all 2021 programs are open now online. With places in each capped at 20 we recommend early booking.
Whether you’re joining us in person or online, we look forward to welcoming to you Cranlana.
